We are expecting applications from students with an academic Bachelor of Science degree in a discipline related to the content of the programme, from a recognized University, College or Institute.
Admission criteria
International applicants must have obtained an academic Bachelor of Science degree in a discipline related to the content of the programme from a recognized University, College or Institute. Candidates are expected to have basic science training (demonstrable in the transcripts) in each of the following fields:
i. Mathematics and Statistics,
ii. Physics and Engineering,
iii. Chemistry and Biochemistry,
iv. Biology and Microbiology.
They must have obtained their degree with an end result of at least second class upper or equivalent.
Each application is evaluated by the Can Tho University Master Programme Admission Council.
Applicants are fluent in English (reading, listening, speaking and writing). All applicants who have not obtained a previous diploma in a programme taught in English in Australia, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America must submit a certificate proving their proficiency in English. Applicants need to have obtained a score of at least 6.0 on the IELTS test (sent by the official IELTS center administered by The British Council or IDP Education) (or equivalent).

Admission decisions are based upon the evaluation of a complete application profile. Admission profile requirements include:
- Application form, personal profile, curriculum vitae (using templates, click here for templates)
- Bachelor’s degree (certified or notarized copy)
- Bachelor’s program academic transcripts (certified or notarized copy)
- Birth certificate (certified or notarized copy)
- Certificate of English proficiency (certified or notarized copy)
- Employer’s recommendation or certification of good citizenship by local authority
All documents of application profile should be, for the first step, scanned and submitted via e-mail at iupfoodasia@ctu.edu.vn for academic approval process. The status of your application will be informed via e-mail. For successful candidates who are accepted for admission, and accept to participate in the MSc programme, you are required to submit, for the second step, the hard copies of all aforementioned application documents (1-6) to the Can Tho University Graduate School on your arrival to our campus to start your programme.

Scholarships
Each academic year, Can Tho University offers a limited number of scholarships to IUPFOOD-Asia participants from developing countries.
Housing
Students will live at Can Tho University main campus for their programme study.
