Structure & content
The IUPFOOD-Asia programme is a two year programme representing 60 credits. The first year is common to all students and takes into account their diverse backgrounds. This stage consists of two segments, ‘In depth education in food science’ and ‘In depth education in engineering and food engineering’ both spread over two semesters.
During the second year, students opt for one of the four majors, ‘fruit and vegetable based products (VNUA)’, or ‘animal product technology (HU)’, or ‘seafood technology (NTU)’, or ‘cereal technology (CTU)’, respectively. Next to the major segment, the second year comprises a segment of compulsory and optional courses and a master thesis. All courses are open to all students of the programme.
For all majors, all courses will be offered physically at CTU. They will be taught by lecturers from the partner universities responsible for a specific major. Master thesis research opportunities will be offered by all partners involved and will be carried out at their respective research units.
